U.S. Gold Competitive Team Tryouts

Signup:
At the front desk of the Destin or Crestview Recreational Gyms before May 1, 2016. $20 fee to be paid at time of sign up. Cash or CC. No checks.

Where:
U.S. Gold Team Training Facility
143 Business Center Drive Miramar Beach, FL 32550

Who can tryout:
• Anyone who turns 5-11 years old before December 31, 2016.
• Willing to commit to year-round practice at the Destin team gym, as well as competitions January-April (not local).

Tryout Dates (choose one):
Friday, May 13 4:30-7:30
Saturday, May 14 9:00-12:00

(Across from the Destin Recreational Gym. Turn at the Haven House sign and drive to the back until you see the U.S. Gold gym)

What to wear/bring:
A U.S. Gold leotard if you have one or a tank leotard of your choice. (No shorts, tights, or skirts). Hair must be pulled back. Please bring a water bottle with your child’s name on it.

Who can tryout:
• Anyone who turns 5-11 years old before December 31, 2016.
• Willing to commit to year-round practice at the Destin team gym, as well as competitions January-April (not local).

What to expect:
This is a team practice session and will give our participants the experience of what a practice will feel like on team. Coaches will assess based on skill level, listening, ability to apply corrections, focus, ability to work independently, strength, and flexibility. Just like team practices, this session is closed to the parents. We want our gymnasts to have the least amount of distractions possible.

Results:
Team decisions will be made by Monday, May 16th. Team members will be announced in a post on facebook by number, not name. Do not forget the number assigned to your gymnast at the tryout. Spots are limited so if you don’t earn a spot this year, consider trying again in the future after some more recreational gymnastics training.
